We began by analysing their project portfolio and categorising them based on their processes for effective management. Detailed process maps were created, followed by the development of realistic timelines and schedules tailored to project size. We facilitated workshops with portfolio leads to establish project plans and integrate scheduling into their business practices – a first for this company. This newfound structure enabled them to link scheduling to resource allocation, cash flow, and procurement, ensuring efficient project execution. Initially sceptical of the need for dedicated scheduling, the client now recognises the value of schedulers and planners.
